Sea Kayaks
Such a treat to paddle. They are fast, agile and so much fun. These kayaks are made from twenty foot long redwood telephone polls milled over one hundred years ago. From these eight inch square polls, I milled them into 3/4 in. boards which I then milled into 1/4 inch thick bead and cove strips. And voila! Other species include Alaskan Yellow cedar and teak as trim and cockpit structure. The bungee cord and lifeline hardware fasteners are made of mahogany and brass. Finally the outer stems are of either mahogany or maple.
